The University of Belgrade, The Faculty of Transport and Traffic Engineering was founded in 1950. The Faculty of Transport and Traffic Engineering is an interdisciplinary research organization within the University of Belgrade, primarily oriented toward resolving problems in all aspects of transport, traffic, logistics and communications. The main purpose of the Faculty is to promote applied research and new methodologies and technologies in the field of transport and traffic engineering and to find superior solutions, by engaging eminent experts, which will meet clients’ demands. The Faculty employs professional staff with the highest level of education in the country, who has gained their reputation by resolving problems in his core fields in the country and abroad, for the needs of both governmental institutions and companies in public and private ownership.

The Faculty, due to its status, ensures full independence in the setting up teams of experts for addressing particular issues. In light of complex issues in the field of transport, traffic, logistics and communications, flexible attitudes at the Faculty allow the involvement of experts from other research organizations in the country and from abroad, when required.

The Faculty is specialized in research in all fields of transport and traffic engineering. These include research of climate-friendly transport, transport and environment, traffic flow characteristics, defining demands for transport, examination of passenger and cargo flows, researches of users’ behavioural characteristics, development of simulation models in traffic and transport, studies before and after, the development of expert systems, information technology application in transport, traffic, communications and logistics, etc.

 

Key Personnel

+Zoran Radmilović

Zoran Radmilović is a Professor at the Faculty of Transport and Traffic Engineering (FTTE) of The University of Belgrade (UB). He received his Ph.D. in Technological Sciences from the FTTE, UB in 1989. His research interests are intermodal freight transport, port networks and links, fleet planning and operations, regional transport capacities, transport safety and transport and environment. His papers have been published in journals such as Journal of Transport Geography, Journal of Advanced Transportation, Transportation Planning and Technology, International Journal of Information and Management Sciences. Zoran has participated in two FP7 CSA projects: Supporting Climate Friendly Research Transport – REACT and Strengthening and development of Earth Observation activities for the environment in the Balkan area – OBSERVE.

+Dr. Vladislav Maraš

Dr. Vladislav Maraš is an assistant professor at the Faculty of Transport and Traffic Engineering (FTTE) of The University of Belgrade (UB). He received his Ph.D. in Technological Sciences from the FTTE, UB in 2012. His research topics are fleet planning and operations, regional transport capacities, transport safety and transport and environment. He has published more than 40 papers in various journals (Transportation Research Record, Journal of Transport Geography, Applied Soft Computing) and domestic and international conferences. Vladislav has contributed to FP7 CSA projects: Supporting Climate Friendly Research Transport – REACT and Strengthening and development of Earth Observation activities for the environment in the Balkan area – OBSERVE.
